Nevada Station EV Charging Station

The Placer County Transportation Planning Agency (PCTPA) is committed to investing in the community and local environment and supports the use of Electric Vehicles for commuting to reduce pollution and improve the region’s air quality.

With a generous equipment donation by Auburn-based Clipper Creek, Inc., PCTPA has installed two Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) located in the parking lot of the Nevada Station building in Auburn, CA.

Charger Information

  • Two Clipper Creek CS-40, Level 2 chargers
  • Located on the Nevada Station parking lot, rear of the building
  • Open 24 hours day, one charger free for public use
  • No permit required
  • Maximum 4 hour charge limit per day – Vehicles may not go over the time limit or occupy multiple charger spaces during the same day. Failure to observe these restrictions may subject the vehicle to citation.
  • Persons charging electric vehicles are asked to consider the needs of others by removing the vehicle when it is charged or the 4 hour limit has been reached. This will allow other users to access the EVCS

How to Charge

  • Remove the connector from the charger dock holster
  • Plug the connector into the charging port of your electric vehicle
  • Enter the 8-digit access code, followed by the “#” symbol at the keypad on the charger
  • When charger is completed or you have reached the 4 hour maximum, remove the connector from the vehicle and place it back into the dock holster

PCTPA is not responsible for damage caused by improper charging on an electric vehicle. All EVCS users are expected to use the chargers properly.

Please be aware that the Nevada Station parking lot, unless otherwise marked for ADA or EVCS use, is for building tenants and their customers only and not for transit riders or Amtrak passengers.
