On May 7, 2010, the Federal Highway Admnistration (FHWA) completed its Record of Decision (ROD), which selected Placer Parkway Corridor with a No-Access Buffer Zone pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The FHWA published its Notice of Final Actions in the Federal Register on May 26, 2010. |
DECEMBER 2009 SPRTA BOARD HEARING
FINAL PROGRAM EIR AND CORRIDOR SELECTION
On December 3, 2009, the SPRTA Board of Directors:
No written comments on the Final Program EIR were received prior to the hearing. No public comments were made at the hearing.
See the Project Library for the November 17, 2009 staff memo and resolutions. A Notice of Determination was filed with Placer and Sutter County Clerks on December 4, 2009.
The availability of the Final Tier 1 EIS/EIR was noticed in the December 4 and 11, 2009 Federal Register. The public comment period will close on January 4, 2010. The Federal Highway Administration will then complete a Record of Decision on corridor selection in early 2010.

FEBRUARY 2009 PUBLIC HEARINGS – PARTIALLY REVISED DRAFT TIER 1 EIS/EIR
The SPRTA Board conducted public hearings to receive comments on the Partially Revised Draft Tier 1 EIS/EIR. The extended comment period for this document closed on May 11, 2009. Forty four sets of written and public hearing comments were received.
